About Amber
Amber is a 21-year-old competition climber who discovered her passion for climbing at a young age and never let go. A three-time Dutch National Boulder Champion and international medalist, she combines focus, resilience and pure love for the sport. Driven by the joy of movement and constant growth, Amber strives for podium places on the world stage — while staying deeply connected to the climbing community that makes the sport so special.
Why RainyDays?
I strongly support RainyDays’ vision, especially its focus on sustainability and designing clothing specifically for women. In the climbing world, many brands focus primarily on men’s or gender-neutral clothing that doesn’t always fit women properly. I love that RainyDays takes the initiative to create apparel that is both comfortable and designed to truly suit the female body — while still looking great.
My connection with RainyDays' values
When I’m climbing and surrounded by other climbers, I feel completely myself. Climbing shows me what the human body is capable of and constantly reminds me how special that is.
Like RainyDays, I want to inspire other girls and women to follow their passion, push their limits, and enjoy every moment on the wall — whether in the gym, on the boulder, or outdoors discovering new places.

Q&A with Amber
When did you know climbing was your passion?
“I knew climbing was my passion the moment I made my first moves at an open day at Ivy Climbing — the spark just ignited immediately.”
What achievement are you most proud of?
“I’m most proud of being a three-time Dutch National Boulder Champion and winning a silver medal at the European Youth Cup. Internationally, I’ve reached several European Cup finals and came just one spot short of a World Cup semi-final — all experiences that have helped me grow as a climber.”
Why is good climbing apparel important to you?
“Good climbing apparel is important to me because it needs to move with my body, feel comfortable during long training sessions and competitions, and fit properly as a woman. Clothing that’s functional, durable, and made with care lets me focus completely on climbing, while also feeling confident and supported on and off the wall.”
What do you hope to achieve as an ambassador?
“As a RainyDays ambassador, I hope to encourage girls and women to embrace climbing in all its forms — from competitions to outdoor adventures. I want to share my love for the process of learning, pushing limits, and discovering new bouldering areas, while also highlighting the joy and community within the sport. Being an ambassador gives me the chance to combine my passion for climbing, my focus on growth, and my belief in empowering women through performance, confidence, and fun.”
What are your personal goals in climbing?
“My personal goals are focused on both competition and outdoor climbing. In competitions, I aim to win an international medal, reach World Cup semi-finals, and ultimately compete at the Olympic Games. Outdoors, I want to spend time on beautiful boulders with friends, explore new climbing areas like Ticino, Red Rock, and Rocklands, and continue improving my skills while enjoying the process and the climbing community.”
