About Kim
Kim is an experienced climber, freelance route setter in Belgium (Klimzaalblok, Klimkaffee Mechelen and Klimkaffee Herentals), and active in various outdoor disciplines. With 20 years of high-level speleology and a 4th place in the Belgian Enduro Mountain Bike Championship, she combines technical climbing with a deep love for adventure and nature.
Why RainyDays?
RainyDays feels like a perfect match for me because I believe in strength, community and adventure. My perseverance and mental resilience were shaped during expeditions to new caves, up to 1000 meters deep, where I spent days underground. Like RainyDays, I want to motivate other women to push their boundaries, both in the outdoor world and in climbing.
Climbing is my way of life
Whether I'm tackling a technical boulder in Fontainebleau, competing in an open competition or setting routes in the climbing gym, I love challenging myself. For me, climbing is about freedom, fun, friendship and discovering your own strength. Adventures are meant to be shared, and stories are written together. That's why I bring women together, inspire others and pass on what I learn - exactly the energy and connection that RainyDays stands for.

Q&A with Kim
What are your personal goals in climbing or outdoor activities?
"Currently I'm working hard on my personal goal to climb a 7C in Fontainebleau. I look back with pride on my first 7A(+) there, not so much for the grade, but for the perseverance and mental strength I showed. I went back for months, and that persistence has taught me a lot."
What does climbing mean to you personally?
"Climbing means freedom and pure focus to me. It's one of the few activities where I can completely clear my mind. On the wall I can let go of everything, I feel strong and completely myself. It's the place where I clear my head, where I challenge myself and keep discovering what I can do. Especially during difficult times, climbing was my salvation - it gave me strength and self-confidence when I needed it most."
What's your favorite climbing spot and why?
"Fontainebleau in France is absolutely my favorite place. The combination of beautiful nature, endless boulders and the peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect place for me to challenge myself and relax."

I'm Kim De Bie - an experienced climber, freelance route setter, mountain biker and speleologist. I grew up in an adventurous family, am active in various climbing gyms and combine my passion for outdoor bouldering with a deep love for nature and tranquility. For twenty years I did speleology at a high level and achieved a fourth place in the Belgian Enduro Mountain Bike Championship. Perseverance, mental strength and inspiring other women in climbing drive me every day.
